The Trustees/Directors

The control of Gosport Community Association is vested in the Board of Trustees/Directors who are the governing body of the Charity.  They are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting and their function is to determine the general policy of the Association and be responsible for all aspects of its operation. They are a team of local Volunteers who give their time freely to help improve the Centre and its services for the local community.  Meetings take place on a bi-monthly basis and new applicants are always welcome.

The following are the current Trustees/Directors of Gosport Community Association and can be contacted via reception.

Volunteers

The success of the Association has been very much dependant on the services of Volunteers who put in many hours of work without reward but the satisfaction of knowing they are helping their Community Association.  Without this band of people the Association would not be able to function as it does and for this we thank them and hope that this goes some way in conveying the high value that is placed on their efforts.

Volunteering can be a great way to meet other people, learn new skills, gain experience and help others.  If anybody wishes to offer their services they would be made most welcome.  There are many different areas where you can get involved.......here are just a few ideas!  Becoming a Trustee, running an event, starting a new activity, fundraising, gardening,  IT support, market and promotions, business and legal advice, day to day operations etc. Etc.

Youth Development Volunteers

We need people to help run our Youth activities at the centre. We are keen to expand our youth programme, but we can only do this with support.  All volunteers will be required to complete a DBS form. If you are interested...... please contact us.

Fundraising Volunteers

We are looking for Volunteers who can help us raise monies to support the charitable aims of the Association.  This could be by helping at an event, assisting in arranging a fundraiser or thinking of new and effective ways to generate income and raise awareness. Would you like to help....please contact us.

Renovation & Maintenance Volunteers

Assistance is vital in all areas of maintenance and renovation. There is much work to be done to bring the Centre up to scratch.  The Association has little resources to meet the costs of contractors to carry out this work and is endeavouring to put together a directory of volunteers with the relevant skills to assist in this area of work.  If you think you can help with:

Decorating ~ Bricklaying ~ Tiling  ~ Joinery ~ Plastering ~  Plumbing  etc. please......get in touch!

Whatever skills you have to offer your support will be appreciated – Tel: 023 92 510012
