Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. TUESDAY AFTERNOON CLUB FOR  BLIND & PARTIALLY SIGHTED PEOPLE

The Blind Club meets in the Privett Suite at Gosport Community Association on Tuesday afternoons for entertainment, interesting talks and friendships  - a cup of tea and biscuits.  Come and meet other visually impaired people.  It’s good to talk! Transport can be provided if required.
 
BURY HOUSE DAY CENTRE

Bury House is a Day Care Centre situated at Gosport Community Association.  The Centre operates 5 days a week from 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday and there is a small cost for the day per person.  The Day Centre is managed by Age Concern Hampshire and is staffed by a Manager, an Assistant Manager, Support Workers and 2 Escorts.  Volunteers supply the remainder of the help.  Social Services assess anyone wishing to attend.  Transport is arranged and members are met by friendly Staff with a welcoming cup of tea and time chat. The day is structured to suit individual needs to include activities such as cards, dominoes, quizzes, speakers etc. Monies are continually raised for the amenity fund to finance outings and entertainers. 
 
GOSPORT STROKE CLUB
Friday afternoons at 3.00 p.m. – weekly (not August)

Affiliated to the Stroke Association the club serves the whole area of the Borough of Gosport and was established to improve the quality of life of people who have suffered a stroke by providing social, recreational and therapeutic activities.  We promote and maintain close relationships with all members, relatives of members and organisations interested in stroke sufferers and their welfare. Transport can be arranged where necessary at a small extra cost
 
NATIONAL  BLOOD SERVICE

Gosport Community Association are pleased to support the work of the National  Blood Transfusion Service by providing facilities for regular donor sessions to be held in the Centre.  Donor sessions are usually held between 1.30 to 3.25pm and 4.30 to 7.15pm in the Thorngate Ballroom.  Telephone Reception for dates of sessions – 023 92510012.  Do something amazing today – Give Blood!
